Mother's Day

~My Parents~
~My big girl!~
~Grammy and Kaylee (gotta love that face???)~
This year was much different for Mother's Day with my family. Usually I go to my moms house and spend the day with her and make dinner for the whole family (at least 10 people)... But because I can now celebrate being a mom we did a brunch with both sides of the family at my sister and brother in laws house. It was a great day!!!

~4 Months Old~

Our little angel is now 4 months old... I cannot believe how fast the time has gone. She is growing and developing great. She is now weighing 13 pounds 1 ounce and is 25 inches long. She is rolling from her tummy to back and lifting her head great during tummy time. She is grabbing at objects and loves lights. Her hair is continuing to fall out and is even more crazy :) I can now get her to laugh hysterically at me it is so funny! We are so lucky to have her!!! We love you Kaylee girl!

Motherhood
I was sent this in an e-mail from my sister in law and it could not be more true...
Before I was a Mom:
I never tripped over toys or forgot words to a lullaby.
I didn't worry whether or not my plants were poisonous.
I never thought about immunizations.
Before I was a Mom I had never been puked on..
Pooped on.
Chewed on.
Peed on.
I had complete control of my mind and my thoughts.
I slept all night.
Before I was a Mom:
I never held down a screaming child so doctors could do tests. Or give shots.
I never looked into teary eyes and cried.
I never got gloriously happy over a simple grin.
I never sat up late hours at night watching a baby sleep.
Before I was a Mom:
I never held a sleeping baby just because I didn't want to put her down.
I never felt my heart break into a million pieces when I couldn't stop the hurt.
I never knew that something so small could affect my life so much.
I never knew that I could love someone so much.. I never knew I would love being a Mom.
Before I was a Mom:
I didn't know the feeling of having my heart outside my body.
I didn't know how special it could feel to feed a hungry baby.
I didn't know that bond between a mother and her child.
I didn't know that something so small could make me feel so important and happy.
Before I was a Mom:
I had never gotten up in the middle of the night every 10 minutes to make sure all was okay.
I had never known the warmth, the joy, the love, the heartache, the wonderment or the satisfaction of being a Mom.
I didn't know I was capable of feeling so much, before I was a Mom.
Camping

This past weekend we went camping in San Clemente. It was such a great time. I was a little worried about how Kaylee would do considering she did not do well at the river and it could not have turned out any better. Kaylee did great and was very happy. Luckily we shared a campsite with the Reynolds who have a 1 year old (Hudson) so they were very understanding when Kaylee woke up at 4am. The weekend was a lot of fun I can't wait to go again.
